i tried to find the words
but it seems to me that all words
are lost.....
lost in the midst of all
that's happening in
our world....
our world which we share
and find its meaning which
is doubtful...
doubtful on what could happen
and what would become of us....
puzzled.
confused.
disturbed.
relationships. movies. music. poetry. literature. passions. aspirations. dreams. realizations. live. breathe.

fading 020618
softly the leaves are gently falling
flowers are withering
colors are fading
my memories of you.......
fading...
summer has just ended
but i haven't noticed
time flies quickly
and my memories of you......
fading...
i have gone on with my life
as if nothing has happened
as if nothing came along
as if these memories are just dreams
and YOU are just......
fading...
flowers are withering
colors are fading
my memories of you.......

time flies quickly
and my memories of you......
fading...
i have gone on with my life

Darkness comes into my house
A chill runs under my blouse.
The thief snatches you abroad
Coming at the end of the road.
Nothingness has been your middle name
Loneliness has been your game.
The thief comes into the night
Leaving me shunned from the light.
Hades feasts in the netherworld
Proserpine weeps in the underworld.
Dark. Foreboding.
Empty. Ebbing.

during wakeful hours
In the stillness of the room,
I seem to be the one,
The only one awake
Letting my mind drift
On thoughtless thoughts
I seem to be so shattered
No thoughts on my mind
No nothing....
I can't imagine
On the life of me
That something so solemn
has arrived
During wakeful hours
Underneath the starless sky
Solitude has come.
I seem to be the one,
The only one awake
Letting my mind drift
On thoughtless thoughts
I seem to be so shattered
No thoughts on my mind
No nothing....
I can't imagine
On the life of me
That something so solemn
has arrived
During wakeful hours
Underneath the starless sky
Solitude has come.

laid back Sunday
Sunday is a family day for me, I don't go out, I spend the day at home specifically on the couch =) Anyway, so my mom and I went to church today at 8:15am. You see I am not a fan of waking up too early so my mom had to kick me out of me today.
What to do after? (o'_'o) So I've decided to watch re-runs of old flicks in the DVD. I picked out Diary of a Wimpy Kid (which i just watched last week or the week before last) - I wonder how Jeff Kinney is related to me? How i wish we were really relatives (LOL!) well, i bet he doesn't wish to be my jus sanguini - then i picked out Make it Happen, a dance flick then I picked out one of my all time favorites (well i have tons of favorites) Coyote Ugly and last on my re-run list was St. Trinian's (2007) film.
I had a good laugh at the Diary of a Wimpy Kid and then of course chasing your dreams stuff @ Make it Happen and Coyote Ugly then a terrible headache due to laughter to St. Trinian's.
Actually what is funny in the film is the notoriety of the students there. It is as if an asylum for terrible kids but at the same time those kids have heart, a heart dedicated to love their sisters in the school, just like what Annabelle Fritton (one of the protagonists) it's like a one big, happy if slightly dysfunctional family.
It the movie is good =) So at the end of the day, i watched four flicks I love and BTW, I went to the bookstore and bought two new books. I will blog about it after reading it. One is Anne Frank: The Diary of a Young Girl (I am so ashamed to tell you that I haven't read it) and another Anne Frank: Tales from the Secret Annex.
I had to buy these two books because the book I was supposed to buy, Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter is out of stock =(
Have a good night everyone!!!
XOXO,
V!

step up 3
I had a fun day out with my MBA classmates today =) It was abba, bella, miguel, anne and me. We were to meet at 4pm in Cafe Mary Grace - i love the pastries and coffee and the place (well that's a different blog). Anyway the meeting was mainly because of Anne's work. She is into personal banking and so it was mainly boring at first (kidding anne!)
So after the coffee presentation which ended at around 6pm we decided to grab dinner at momo (well we love eating) but then when we were on the road abba and bella called us (they were driving separately) and they suggested we watch step up 3.
well, at the end of the day after discussions on whether to eat or do whatever, it was a quorum that we watch either Salt of Angelina Jolie or Step Up 3 in 3D - we voted for Step Up since Miguel has caught Salt already.
Step Up 3 does not really make any excellent acting but the choreography and visuals and stunts was way way way wicked!!!! =0
Just like any other Step Up movie, it contains the usual desire of the person to dance and follow his dream but also it contains the usual romance twist in the story. Although the plot was kinda predictable.
Like the part when Luke Katcher was disturbed by the fact that their dance routine was caught on tape and it leaked and how Natalie looked so disturbed before Luke saw that the routine was uploaded in the internet. It was obvious Natalie wanted to admit something to Luke because she approached Luke and said something like, I need to talk to you, alone..
So directly, I presume that she was the one who leaked the video because it was impossible that it would be Moose because he is one of the protagonist of the story way back Step Up 2 so he cant be the traitor. And given that Julien was the antagonist of the story I upright believed that Julien was the brother of Natalie because Natalie mentioned to Luke in the first part of the story that her parents were dead and he lived up to his brother and it was his brother who raised him blah blah blah (of course you can't expect me to remember the exact dialogue right?!)
So there at the climax of the story (i wont be such a spoiler alright? i won't detail the movie) Natalie did what was righteous =) happy ending of course..
I love the dance moves and I again liked the part where the danced with water pouring all over them like what was depicted in Step Up 2. Here are some snap shots =) (which I of course googled at IMDb).
What I liked about the movie beside the choreography is how the dance studio was set up the boom boxes were amazing and superb! look at this photo =)
Isn't it amazing how this all compiled and arranged the boom boxes. well of course i wouldn't know if it is just plain props or what-have-yous but it is superb!!!!
I also love Moose in the movie and they are delightful. Moose and Camille look good together =) delightfully cute =)
Well we wouldn't know if they would end up just like Channing Tatum and Jenna Lee Dewan-Tatum who both played the lead roles in Step Up as Tyler Gage and Nora Clark. They just got married last 11 July 2009. How delightful to know that they met and fell in love in the set of Step Up.
Well so much of the movie. and did I say again that Moose looks cute with Camille =)
Good night everyone!!!!! After being out of the house for 10hours, I am dead beat and my bed is calling me =)

36" pizza!!!
well to start it off, i had laid my eyes on one of the biggest pizza here in the Philippines! imagine a 36 inch pizza!!! wow!!!
The pizza house is at El Buono, Makati. They actually have three branches, one in Makati, one in Paranaque and one in Mandaluyong.
Their largest pizza is a humongous 65 inch pizza and according to the manager of the pizza parlor it could feed a hundred and fifty people!!! another wow!
We were there for a day late birthday celebration of our friend, which explains why i am actually putting candles on the pizza =) Sadly, the effort in putting the candles was futile, i ended up removing it! LOL! =)
Nonetheless, it was fun. Pizza, Pasta and Iced tea is good! and have i mentioned that we were actually drinking iced tea from a flower vase?! yeah technically i am not so sure if it is a flower vase but from the size and the looks of it, it's a flower vase.
have you seen the size?!? how tell me that this is not a flower vase?! care to disagree with me!!?!?! i guess not! no one would! LOL
No to start it off, the evening was not that nice, I mean I was the one who recommended to eat there because the first time i dined there, it was on an eat-all-you -can promo, so my friends thought they could eat all the food there, what they didn't know is that they would surrender in eating all the pizza. We were not able to eat everything, we were 11 in the group but the food we left uneaten was still way too much!
The food is great! we even saw how they prepare it and they don't have an oven, it is like a big heating pan and the pizza is on top of it and we saw how it was prepared. So in all honesty, it was superb!
Liza, the birthday celebrant kept the pizza box lid as a souvenir and we wrote our birthday greetings and wishes there! and mind you guys, the lid was big enough to sit at the back of the car! which was totally funny!
At the end of the day, what mattered most is not how much pizza we ate or how much iced tea we had - well i think, that is more than 2 liters (judging from the size of the glass), what was way memorable is having a good laugh with friends!
Till next birthday party and I hope to find another good deal of restaurant with superb food! =)
xoxo, V

Run Away Bride
I was on a DVD marathon last weekend and I really can't get over Julia Roberts movie. I mean they all totally rock but my favorite favorite favorite movie is the Run Away Bride. I just can't seem to get over the fact that Julia Roberts and Richard Gere looks good together.
I mean who would even contradict the fact that they are sooooo good looking?!?! anyone!??! raise your hands =) see!!! hahaha! (well this is a monologue, so please don't contradict! LOL)
I love the fact that whenever I watch this movie, I always have this feeling that someday, someone will be there for me... awwww, too mushy =)
The movie is an attention catcher and it makes me glued to my seat although I have watched this movie for like more than 10 times (a few more times that Titanic - now that's a different story).
The plot is good though I am not really aware if there are real life run away brides (i hope there are none!!! it's heart breaking to see a groom cry on the day of the wedding). Plus the fact that it has a gross revenue of US$ 309MM - now that's saying something for a movie (I googled the revenue out).
I am a hopeless romantic and a sucker for happy endings and this is a feel good movie that I very much love not only because of the Julia and Richard chemistry on screen but also of the unforgettable quotes of the film. Does the quote "Look, I guarantee there'll be tough times. I guarantee that at some point, one or both of us is gonna want to get out of this thing. But I also guarantee that if I don't ask you to be mine, I'll regret it for the rest of my life, because I know, in my heart, you're the only one for me. "?!?!
Isn't that just too sweet and makes you want to cry. I mean if a guy proposes to me that way (of course not verbatim) i would ultimately say yes. =) It is just so heart warming and so fairy tale like...
The soundtrack is also a plus because the songs were superb!! I actually downloaded the whole soundtrack and included it in my playlist. What really made me smile in the film was when Julia Roberts recited the exact same words as told by Richard Gere in the first part of the movie wherein he said that it is the perfect proposal. At this point in time, I need to feel that there is a love does exist.. I am not a cynic but being boyfriendless for two years is really really catching up on me.. LOL.. =)
I ended up watching all the romance flicks I have in the entire weekend. =) awwww....
have a nice day everyone =)

Granny's birthday
It was seven years ago, Lola as i call my grandmother has passed and entered into a new life, a life with God. She could have turned 90 today, it's her special day. Even though 7 years has passed I still have tears in my eyes every time i remember her, every time i go at the cemetery and visit her graveyard, my eyes get stung with tears. It is just so hard to accept the fact that I will never be able to see her again nor talk to her no thank her for what she has done for me and my life. She was one of the people I cherish in my life and if only I could go back in time and tell her everyday how much I love her.
She has this certain feel in her that makes me smile every time I am down. She always always always intervene every time my cousins make me cry, she cooks excellent food and i miss her warmth, smile and every thing who she is,...
As I write this blog, tears are streaming down my face. I do miss her, I do miss holding her hand when I am scared. I do miss her tenderness especially if my mom would scold me for doing something because I know Lola will be there to keep me from crying.
I know wherever she is, she is happy and though I know she will never get to read what I am writing right now, I want her to know that I love her, I miss her and she is a part of my life, for now - forever and always.
I love you Lola and Happy 90th Birthday =)

your smell on the air
aroma sits in my mind
therapeutic in calming my nerves
your color embodies a soft hue of chocolate
so inviting, so interesting
so delectable
your taste makes me want more

responding to every need i have
how i want another taste of you
another smell
another look

Abraham Lincoln,Vampire Hunter
I would be buying this book this week. I've waited for so long for this book to reach the Philippines and I am planning - oh no the word must be buying - Abraham Lincoln, Vampire Hunter this week. The book is written in an epistolary style as a biography of Abraham Lincoln based on diaries he has written way back 16th century. It was alleged that a vampire, Henry Sturges to the author.
I just feel that this would be a comically good fiction. It would be refreshing to find a good read wherein one of the prominent figure of the American history was transformed into a vampire hunter.
Just in case you guys have read it already please please please give me a clue if it is really a rare find as what i think it would be
